Every July, downtown Dawson Creek fills up with chrome, rumbling engines, and vehicles from all over Western Canada. That weekend belongs to the Mile Zero Cruisers, a local non-profit car club that’s been bringing together classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, and custom builds for 30 years.
Summer Cruise Weekend
This is the club’s main event each year. It runs the second weekend of July and has grown from a small meet into one of the biggest automotive weekends in northern BC. The Sunday Show ‘N Shine downtown is the largest north of Prince George, according to the organizers.
The 2026 show is the 30th anniversary edition, running July 10 to 12. It kicks off Friday, July 10 in the Dawson Co-op parking lot.
Haven’t been before? It’s a full weekend built around car culture. Friday is registration and the kickoff. Saturday has more shows and evening events. Sunday is when they shut down downtown and 300+ vehicles take over the core: classics, hot rods, modern builds, trucks, bikes, and plenty in between. People drive in from BC, Alberta, and farther out.
The usual schedule
Here’s how past weekends have gone:
- Friday: Kickoff at the Dawson Co-op with on-site registration, a mini show, and a community dinner.
- Saturday: More show-and-shine spots, social events, and evening activities like the burnout competition, light show, and night cruise.
- Sunday: The main downtown Show ‘N Shine with hundreds of vehicles on display. Recent years have also included a toy drive for local kids at Christmas and a medal ceremony to wrap up.
Downtown road closures run most of the weekend, so plan ahead if you’re coming in from out of town. Schedules and registration details change from year to year. Check milezerocruisers.com for current 2026 info, tickets, and updates.
Thursday night cruises
Summer Cruise Weekend is the big one, but the club runs weekly Thursday evening cruises all summer. Good way to see what’s around, meet members, and hear about upcoming events. If you’re in Dawson Creek on a summer Thursday, swing by.
Clarico at the show
Clarico Industries sponsors the Mile Zero Cruisers and Summer Cruise Weekend. Car culture is a big part of what we do here, from paint correction and ceramic coatings to keeping show cars and daily drivers looking good through northern BC winters.
We’ll be on site at Summer Cruise Weekend 2026. Come find us, ask about coatings or correction, or just say hi.
